PALOLO VALLEY (HawaiiNewsNow)- The Board of Water Supply says water service was restored early Monday morning after a 12-inch water main break was reported in Palolo Valley.
According to BWS, the main broke at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Kalua Road and 9th avenue.
Officials say 10 homes were without water service, but spigots were placed on two nearby hydrants.
The pipe was installed in 1945. The BWS says the last break along Kalua Road happened in 2006.
Crews will remain at the site to perform road repairs.
