KANEOHE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man arrested in connection with a fatal July 19, 2012 shooting at 'Na Pohaku o Hauwahine' Kawainui State Park Reserve near the Kapaa Quarry Road was identified on Wednesday.
Police arrested 29-year old Teddy Munet on Tuesday, five days after he allegedly shot and killed William Fallau in the back of the neck near Kapaa Quarry Road.
Munet, who had recently been released from prison and has a criminal record, was reportedly staying in an empty tool shed on Fallau's family property in Kaneohe, where police say they also found drugs.
Fallau's family says that they were trying to help give Munet a second chance at life by providing him with a place to stay after his release from prison.
There has been no word yet on what led to the shooting.
