Fire crews spent much of Wednesday afternoon in west Oahu as they battled a wildfire near Waianae Valley Road.
The fire started at approximately 2 p.m. above Hale Ahe Road.
About 40 firefighters were on the scene helping to fight the fire and were being assisted by a helicopter.
According to the Honolulu Fire Department's Captain Terry Seelig, the fire is about 95 percent contained and has scorched about 100 acres.
Fire crews will continue to monitor the area to prevent flare-ups.
