Near drownings leave 2 in critical condition

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Two people are in the hospital Sunday after nearly drowning in waters on Oahu.

The first incident happened just after 9:00 a.m. at one of the lagoons at Ko Olina.  The 17-year old boy was found unconscious floating in the water.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The second incident happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Elks Club Waikiki swimming pool.  An Emergency Services Spokesperson says the 4-year old boy was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
