HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Joy of Sake celebrates Hawaii's hundred-year love affair with sake-from the early days of Japanese immigration and the founding of the Honolulu Sake Brewery up to the present. Today Honolulu hosts the annual U.S. National Sake Appraisal and has more sake-serving restaurants per capita than any other city in the country.
This year The Joy of Sake moves to Pier 2 Terminal Hall, a brand-new event venue at Honolulu Harbor opposite Restaurant Row. Pleasantly air-conditioned and decorated throughout with works by Hawai'i artists, this new location, with 25,000 sq. ft. of event space, brings The Joy of Sake right into the heart of Honolulu.
Over 300 premium sakes will be available for tasting, along with appetizers presented by 13 of Honolulu's finest restaurants. The event is held on a Friday, with ample lot and valet parking.
