Swept Out to Sea, TheBus Route Changes, Beware Computer Virus!

Hi there! Hope you're all recovered from your 4th of July celebrations! Here's a look at some of the stories we're working on for Hawaii News Now at 5 & 5:30.

TEEN SWEPT OUT TO SEA

The intense search continues for a teenage boy swept out to sea near Kealakekua Bay on the Big Island. The teen was reportedly with a group hiking when they decided to stop and rest at a tide pool. A witness says that's when a wave swept him out to sea.  Teri Okita has more on the search.

CHANGES TO THEBUS ROUTES

East Honolulu bus riders may want to be aware of some major changes that will affect their commute.  TheBus announced it will be making a big modification to its routes.  Jim Mendoza has the details.

EARLY START TO FIREWORKS SHOW

If you watched the fireworks show out at Ala Moana Beach Park yesterday, did you notice anything? Apparently, the show started early and that has some Oahu residents upset because they were still getting in place when the show unexpectedly began.  Hear what caused the early start tonight at 5.
