LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Nevada's Attorney General said there was no criminal activity involving the controversial decision in the Timothy Bradley-Manny Pacquiao boxing match last month.
Catherine Cortez Masto released a response to a letter from boxing promoter Bob Arum who demanded an investigation after the June 9 bout in Las Vegas.
"Unless evidence of criminal activity is forthcoming, this matter will be considered closed," the Nevada AG said Tuesday.
Arum led calls for an investigation into the result of the bout which gave victory to Bradley by split decision.
Many analysts said Pacquiao was the odds-on winner in the 12-round bout. Instead, two of the three judges in the fight sided with Bradley.
The World Boxing Organization affirmed the overwhelming opinion in a post-fight review, favoring Pacquiao. Their ruling, though, was not binding and could not overturn the result.
There are calls for a rematch between the two but no plans have been confirmed.
