(HawaiiNewsNow) - Former island resident and high fashion model, Kym Leilehua Digmon, returns to Honolulu where she readies to open a second Aloha Pet Care school. Her first Aloha Pet Care school in Chelsea, London, England, was established in 2006 and grew quickly from what began as a professional dog walking/sitting business.
A former Miss Hawaii USA (1991), Digmon grew up in Waialae Kahala, O'ahu, and was a popular and sought after model in the 80's and 90's. Her exotic features graced numerous magazine covers and advertisements including advertising campaigns for Crazy Shirts, Liberty House, and Ala Moana Shopping Center, to name a few. Although she originally thought she would continue college courses at Washington State to become a veterinarian, the demands of the fashion industry took over. Digmon went on to grow her modeling career in national and international markets on the mainland, Europe and the orient, not only in front of the camera, but behind the scenes learning other facets of the business including sales, distribution, and design.
