(HawaiiNewsNow) - Independence Day 2012 promises to be the most special in musical history when the Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Matt Catingub welcome a star-studded line-up of stars to the Waikiki Shell, including Hawaii's top-selling female vocalist Amy Hânaiali'i' and entertainment legend Jim Nabors, in a patriotic line-up of Hawaii's - and America's - favorite music.
The Independence Day concert, titled "Celebrating the Military," kicks off at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4 and features special appearances by Jimmy Borges and many more. Generously sponsored by UHA (University Health Alliance), the Independence Day concert will honor the sacrifices of the men and women of our Armed Forces while celebrating America's 236th birthday in true Hawaiian style. News Radio 830 AM KHVH's Rick Hamada will join Catingub and the Orchestra on-stage as the emcee and will also narrate "Liberty for All."
