Shots were fired last night around 9:30 near the Shell and Chevron gas station off Oneawa Street. We've learned there were no injuries reported or any arrests. If you saw or heard anything that could help police, they want to hear from you.
LIKELIKE LIGHTS OUT
Drivers can expect a dark drive through the Wilson tunnel. Lights are out at the top of Likelike Highway and inside the tunnel. State transportation crews will try to fix the problem later this morning. No word what caused the outage.
Maui's Kahana Beach is expected to remain closed this morning because of a shark attack. 16 year old Sage St. Clair of California was bitten by a shark there yesterday. It took a 4 inch bite out of her calf. We're told this was the second shark incident in two days.
FUEL TANKER ACCIDENT SHUTS DOWN KOKEE ROAD
Kokee road is closed this morning after a fuel tanker carrying jet fuel flipped on its side. We don't know how much jet fuel spilled, but a hazmat team and owner of the tanker are working with the Health Department to clean it up. Timeline to reopen the roads is around 7 this morning.
KAUAI MISSILE INTERCEPT SUCCESSFUL
A new defense weapon test overnight from the Pacific Missile Range on Kauai was a success. The target missile launched after 11 and was intercepted by a Raytheon "SM3 block IB" launched from the USS Lake Erie.
