Summer time is here and thousands of Hawaii teens have entered the job market this month. If the economy was booming, you might form false impressions of how easy it is to find a job.
But I guess we don't have to worry about that this year. Our economy is in recovery.
Its true employers are blessed with a lot of applicants, except in certain high-qualified jobs. So, if you've been turned down a few times, don't give up. You are not just a number. Somewhere there's a boss who's looking for someone just like you.
Most highly successful people overcome hard knocks before opportunity knocks. Every work experience is job training for the next one.
No matter how different it seems from your preferred profession, the experience will help you.
And no matter who you're working for, in reality you are working for yourself. A future employer may be the next customer you serve.
