Man arrested after allegedly pulling knife on homeless man

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police arrested a 27-year-old man in Chinatown for terroristic threatening.

According to officials, the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife on a homeless man who was sleeping on a Chinatown sidewalk at about 4:45 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the 27-year-old victim woke up when the suspect threatened him near River and Pauahi Streets. The victim then ran off and alerted authorities.

The suspect, who police believe was intoxicated, was arrested on King and Liliha Streets.

Police say the suspect has a prior record, but no outstanding warrants.

He's being booked at the main police station.
