Jerome Williams has been released from UCI Medical Center following an overnight stay. Williams complained of shortness of breath Monday night after his outing against the Giants. He was hospitalized, underwent a series of tests, and by Tuesday morning felt good enough to tweet to his fans.
"Wanted to let everyone know that I'm feeling better. Gonna get some rest so I can be back on that mound competing again."
A team spokesman said the Waipahu High
grad will return to UC Irvine Medical Center on Wednesday for further tests.
Manager Mike Scioscia stated "He felt much better once everything calmed down a bit…he feels better today. We're just waiting for some direction from our medical department."
