"Wanted to let everyone know that I'm feeling better. Gonna get some rest so I can be back on that mound competing again." That tweet, coming from Waipahu High grad Jerome Williams' Twitter account Tuesday morning, a night after the Angels pitcher was taken to an Orange hospital after complaining of shortness of breath.
The Angels organization offered an update longer than 140 characters.
"Jerome Williams ... is resting comfortably at UCI Medical Center, where he has undergone a variety of tests," team spokesman Tim Mead wrote in an e-mail. "It is likely he will be released later this afternoon and will return to UCI for further testing tomorrow. He will not be present at the ballpark this evening."
