Lanai for Sale, Nanakuli Boulders & Survivor Try Outs

Here are some of the stories coming up tonight on Hawaii News Now at 5 and 5:30...

PINEAPPLE ISLAND FOR SALE?

Is the island of Lanai up for sale? We'll look into reports that it is, in fact, available to be purchased. But what would its possible asking price be? Tim Sakahara has that at 5.

NANAKULI BOULDERS REMOVED

Also, some Nanakuli residents are evacuated as big boulders are blasted off the hillside.

'BILL 37' A DONE DEAL

Mayor Peter Carlisle signed "bill 37" today, which essentially sets up a 'line of credit' for the Oahu rail project. More on today's signing, including what the major concern is over its passage.

CONTESTANTS WANTED

Also, we'll tell you how you can become the next "Survivor!"

And, Ben Gutierrez has your full weekend forecast. That's all tonight when you join me at 5 & 5:30 for Hawaii most-watched early news.

Aloha,

Shawn Ching
