3.7 quake shakes Big Island, no tsunami

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Some residents on the Big Island of Hawaii were shaken by a magnitude 3.7 earthquake Friday afternoon.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 2:18 p.m. about 14 miles west-southwest of Waikoloa.

The earthquakes depth was 10 miles.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says that no tsunami was generated.
