WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man trimming trees Monday night at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki fell to his death.
The incident happened just before 10:30 p.m. Honolulu police say 26-year-old Reid Barcelona fell 60 feet. He was taken to a hospital with major injuries where he died. No foul play is suspected.
Barcelona was a worker for a tree trimming company hired by the hotel.
Hilton released the following statement:
"We extend our deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Barcelona, who was an employee of a company hired by the hotel to help with our tree trimming. At this time, the authorities are handling all inquiries."
