MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - After nearly three years, a new chapter started at a Manoa hangout. Governor Neil Abercrombie joined community members for the grand opening of the new Manoa Public Library Saturday.
The $10 million dollar, 30,000 square foot building replaces the old library which closed its doors in July 2009. Since then, bookworms have had to go to an interim library at Noelani Elementary School.
The new library features solar panels, free wi-fi, and a computer laptop area. It is open every day except Sundays.
