PITTSFORD, NEW YORK (HawaiiNewsNow) - Michelle Wie headlines a trio of Hawaii girls who did not make the weekend cut of the LPGA Wegmans Championship.
Wie had a horrific day carding 8-bogeys and a double-bogey on her way to a 10-over par (82) in round two. The Punahou grad finished at 12 over par through 36-holes. Wie hasn't made an LPGA cut since late February, when she finished in 59th place at the HSBC Women's Champions tournament.
LPGA rookie and Sacred Hearts alum Ayaka Kaneko didn't fair any better. Kaneko shot an 8-over par (80) in round two. Kaneko's 36-hole count was 16-over par.
Fellow rookie and Punahou grad Stephanie Kono also failed to make the cut after carding a 4-over par (76) in round two. She finished the tournament at 17-over par.
