Evenflo recalls high chairs due to fall hazard

WASHINGTON D.C. (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Evenflo is recalling three models of its convertible high chairs because children can fall out of them, says the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The recall involves about 35-thousand of Evenflo high chairs that convert from high chair to toddler-size table and chair.

The activity tray can unexpectedly detach and an unrestrained child can fall.

Evenflo has received 18 reports of trays detaching, including eight reports of children who fell and sustained bumps and bruises.

These high chairs were sold at Toys 'R' Us and Walmart nationwide and online at Walmart.com and Wayfair.com.

Here are the three models being recalled:

  • Dottie Lime (model number 29111259)
  • Dottie Rose (model number 29111271)
  • Marianna (model number 29111234)

You can find the model number on the lower part of one of the chair legs.
