Fires are becoming an unfortunate repeat occurrence and crews are on scene of a few more brush fires.
WAIALUA BRUSH FIRE
Overnight, firefighters responded to yet another brush fire in Waialua. This one started in an open field, off Waialua Beach Road near Goodale Avenue. Crews put it out quickly, but it's the latest in a string of fires in this area. Two weeks ago, six separate fires were started by an arsonist about a mile away. The call for this morning's fire came in around 2:30. That's the same time as the first intentional brush fire.
MAILI BRUSH FIRE
Fire crews stayed on scene in Maili through the night to make sure smoldering flames didn't spread. The 250 acre fire broke out Sunday afternoon off Oheohe Street.
