Crews put out another Waialua fire

WAIALUA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu firefighters responded to another brush fire on Oahu's North Shore.

The fire broke at about 2:30 a.m. Monday in an open field near Waialua Beach Road and Goodale Avenue.

Firefighters arrived on scene and quickly had the blaze under control.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage is unknown at this time.

On May 22, about one mile down the road, six separate early-morning fires were started by an arsonist. As firefighters put out the first blaze, five more were ignited.

Honolulu Fire Department officials said it put their men in danger and called the actions "reprehensible."
