Crews repairing water main on Makakilo Drive

MAKAKILO (HawaiiNewsNow) - Board of Water Supply crews responded to a water main break in Makakilo Wednesday morning.

According to officials, the break was reported at about 4:40 a.m. on Makakilo Drive near the Anipeahi Street intersection.

BWS officials say six homes and six businesses are currently without water at this time.

According to HPD, the left lane on Makakilo Drive is now open. The right lane between 92-624 Makakilo Drive and 92-608 Makakilo Drive is closed as crews perform repair work.

A water wagon has been positioned near 92-605 Makakilo Drive. A fire hydrant spigot is also available fronting 92-646 Makakilo Drive.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the area.

Repair work is expected to continue into the afternoon.
