EWA BEACH (HawaiiNewsNow) - More than a dozen Ewa Beach residents are without water service following an early morning water main break.

According to the Board of Water Supply, an eight-inch water main broke just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday on Ihipehu Street.

BWS crews were able to find the problem and turned off water in the area.

A water wagon was dispatched to the 14 customers affected by the main break.

The eight-inch main was installed in 1963.

A portion of Ihipehu Street will be closed as crews perform repair work into the afternoon.

We'll have more information on this story as it becomes available.
