Happening today, thousands of Hawaii teachers will vote on a contract they rejected once before. This time, a 'no' vote will authorize the Union to strike. Voting is open until midnight and Hawaii News Now will be following developments closely. Coincidentally, today's also the day states can apply for 400 million in "Race to the Top" funding. Hawaii's 40 million dollar piece of the pie was at risk due to the lack of progress and a contract with teachers.

A new report finds that Honolulu drivers waste more time sitting in traffic than anyplace else in the country.
