HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Sunrise got behind the wheel of 3 electric vehicles for test drives. First up? The Chevy Volt. Tannya Joaquin had the enviable assignment of driving around the Volt for a week.
By the numbers, Volts start around 39 thousand dollars, you average 44 miles on a full charge, and unlike other EVs, you have a back up gas tank. Owners are eligible for 12-thousand dollars in credits- $7500 from the Federal government, and $4500 from the State.
It takes about 10 hours to charge at home, but you can take advantage of free EV stations popping up around the State. Check out the video to see Tannya's test drive.
