Honolulu Police Community Foundation honors the Posse

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Police Community Foundation is pleased to announce the honorees at its 2012 gala fund-raising dinner entitled "Honolulu's Finest" are famed local radio personalities Michael W. Perry and Larry Price, creators of the on-air "Posse" for radio station KSSK and the longest-running continuous #1 morning drive radio team in the state.

"Mike Perry and Larry Price have served this community in so many ways, it's impossible to quantify their value to our islands," said HPCF Board President Lee Donohue. "Their 'posse" has helped track down stolen automobiles, solve crimes, and bring a sense of safety and solidarity to our state. They demonstrate what service to the community looks like in all walks of their lives, and we couldn't be prouder to have them as our 2012 honorees!"

Dr. Larry Price's diverse career has included serving as the University of Hawaii's head football coach, as a television news investigative reporter and political commentator for KITV, and as an instructor at Chaminade University. Michael W. Perry hosted the long-running "Hawaiian Host Moving Company" on KLGMB for many years, and is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Rehab Hospital of the Pacific. Together, they continue to be the top-ranked radio personalities in Hawaii, as affirmed by recent ratings.
