Rainbows Lose to UC Davis
DAVIS, CA – It'll be good to get home. Mike Trapasso's Rainbows baseball team
completed an oh-fer road trip Monday with a 6-3 loss to UC Davis.
The Rainbows had previously been swept in a three game
series by Sacramento State.
The Aggies wasted little time in seizing control of the
game, scoring one run in each in the first and second innings, followed by two
runs in the third.
After Collin Bennett's fielder's choice RBI in the top of
the seventh inning that made the score 4-3, UC Davis added two more runs in the
bottom half to seal the game.
Zach Swasey had an RBI single for the ‘Bows in the 6th. Piikea Kitamura opened the scoring in the top
of the first when he plated on a wild pitch.
The Rainbows will close out the regular season against
Nevada at Les Murakami Stadium. The
three game set begins Thursday night.
