New Mexico (HawaiiNewsNow) - The 11th ranked Rainbow Wahine softball team watched their run in the WAC tourney come to an end at the hand of Fresno State 9-7 Friday night.
Hawaii scored 6 runs in the first inning off a pair of three run home runs by Sharla Kliebenstein and Kelly Majam. But, the Bows offense disappeared down the stretch as did their composure in the circle.
UH pitcher Kaia Parnaby was credited with four earned runs in the third inning, while Stephanie Ricketts allowed five runs in the fifth inning as the Bulldogs erased a six-run deficit.
Hawaii added another run in the 6th, courtesy of Kliebenstein's double, but that's all the fire power UH would muster.
The Bows season ends with a 44-7 record. They're post season fate now lays in the hands of the NCAA committee.
