WAIAPHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 53-year-old man is in police custody after he allegedly rammed three men with a pickup truck Tuesday night in Waipahu.

Charles Valdez was arrested for investigation of first-degree attempted murder and three counts of second-degree murder.

According to police, Valdez was involved in a fight that started when a landlord evicted Aries Nagtalon and his family from a home on Laenui Street.

Police say Nagtalon threw rocks at the landlord's son and brother while another man, Freddie Sumaoang, beat them with a club. Soon after, Valdez reportedly hit the victims with his truck.

According to officials, the landlord's leg was broken.

Police say Valdez fled the scene, but turned himself in Thursday at the downtown police station.

Nagtalon and Sumaoang were also arrested.
