(HawaiiNewsNow) - Turtle Bay Resort opened in May 1972 as Del Webb's Kuilima Resort Hotel & Country Club and was built on a small peninsula of Pacific coastline, which provides every room with an ocean view. The setting, overlooking a natural surf break, is considered to be one of the most scenic and eco-significant in the Hawaiian Islands. Rocky Canon from Turtle Bay Resort describes some of the celebration activities on May 12th. Performances kicked off with Ernie Cruz Jr. at the Hang Ten Bar at 4p, a 70's After Party in Surfer, The Bar with dance and costume contests - and plenty everywhere in between. A Silent Auction with a 1972 memorabilia contest will be held in the Lobby.
