Water main break affecting Makaha residents

MAKAHA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An 8-inch water main break in Makaha is affecting at least 125 customers this evening, according to officials from the Honolulu Board of Water Supply.

The break happened at 84-398 Farrington Hawaii, just north of Kili Drive.

A Board of Water Supply water wagon is parked in front of the Makaha Shores Condominum, with a second wagon roving the affected area.

Repairs on the water main, which was installed in 1947, are expected to continue throughout the night. Traffic along Farrington Highway is being contra-flowed to allow crews to address the problem.
