HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The 11th Annual Jamba Banana Man 5K Chase gives participants a chance to chase life size bananas around the beautiful Ala Moana Beach Park and Magic Island (5k = 3.1 miles). Hawaii's wackiest race seeks 1,200 runners for the 5K and 200 kids (ages 13 and under) for the Keiki Fun Run around Magic Island. Have fun in the sun and promote fitness!

Keiki Fun Run! Let the kids challenge themselves in this playful, athletic atmosphere. Kids will run a 500m course--participants get a t-shirt and a medal. Stick around for more fun after with the bounce house, balloon monsoon, face painting, and keiki prints! The Keiki Fun Run is for children ages 3-13 years old. The cost is $15 and includes a tshirt and race medal. Starting at 7am there will be fun activities including Hawaii Speed & Quickness Drills, Balloon Animals, Keiki Prints, Bounce House and Keiki Face Painting.
5k - $25 til 4/20, $30 after 4/20 - fee includes a Jamba Banana Man event shirt and a Jamba coupon for a free smoothie. Keiki - $15 - fee includes a Jamba Banana Man event shirt, Jamba coupon for a free smoothie, and Jamba Keiki Fun Run Medal.
Registration Closing Date: Thursday, May 3, 2012 @ 9:00 PM PST
5k - The first 3 male & female participants overall win Jamba for a Year and first place in the following age categories win a Jamba for a Year! (valued at $117): 12 & under, 13-15,16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59,60-69, and 70+. Jamba for a week for 2nd & 3rd place in each category.

There will be parking restrictions inside Ala Moana Park, especially on the Diamond Head end. Please plan ahead and allow for adequate time to get to the race start. Carpool if possible!
