CAR CRASH SENDS 3 MEN TO HOSPITAL
Two cars smashed into each other in Waialua after one of the cars crossed the center line on Waialua Beach Road. It happened just before 9 last night and shut down the road by Waialua Elementary School for 4 hours. Ramsay will have the latest on their condition and what police are saying on Sunrise.
DOWN TO THE WIRE AT STATE CAPITOL
Two days before the end of the legislative session, State lawmakers passed 47 bills. House Majority leader Pono Chong will join us live from the capitol with what's to come today at 6:30 on Sunrise.
TEACHERS UNION TALKS ON HOLD
The Teachers Union contract talks with the State have been delayed while HSTA irons out the demands and input from union members. It has been 10 months since the State submitted its "last, best, and final" offer and 4 months since members overwhelmingly rejected a new tentative contract. There's no timeline for when the Union will re-start negotiations.
Happening today, downtown Honolulu residents get the chance to ask their questions about the rail project. An informational meeting is scheduled for tonight at 6 in the McKinley High School cafeteria. There will be a second meeting tomorrow for Salt Lake residents at the Radford High school cafeteria, also at 6.

MONTHLY SIREN TEST
A new month means blasting sirens. At 11:45 this morning, we can expect to hear the test of the State's outdoor siren warning system.
MAY DAY IS LEI DAY
There will be lei day celebrations all over the state. One of the biggest is the 85th annual celebration at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand. It starts at 9 this morning and features entertainment by Kapena and Mana'o company.
