WAIALUA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Three people are in serious, but stable condition following a two-vehicle crash in Waialua.

According to officials, the incident happened at about 8:45 p.m. Monday on Waialua Beach Road near Kuoha Street.

Honolulu police say a 24-year-old man, along with his 25-year-old male passenger, were traveling west on Waialua Beach Road in a white Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep then crossed the center line, crashed into a white Toyota Corolla and flipped over onto its roof.

Paramedics say a 34-year-old Waialua man was behind the wheel of the Toyota Corolla.

All three men were transported to the Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.

Police suspect alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

Waialua Beach Road was shut down in both directors near Waialua Elementary School between Haleiwa Road and Goodale Avenue for about four hours.

The road was reopened just before 1 a.m. Tuesday.
