Man in serious condition following Kailua stabbing

KAILUA (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 45-year-old man is in serious, but stable condition after he was stabbed in Kailua Monday night.

According to officials, the incident happened at about 6 p.m. on South Kalaheo Avenue.

Police say the victim was stabbed by his 18-year-old son, Albert Ferreira, following an argument.

Ferreira was arrested for attempted murder and for using a switchblade knife in the attack on his father.

Switchblades, brass knuckles and other dangerous weapons are illegal to own in Hawaii.
