Investigation underway after body found at Manoa Falls Trail

MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police and fire crews are working to retrieve the body of a man that hikers found in a river Thursday afternoon.

According to officials, the body was found at the Manoa Falls Trail where rescue crews were searching for a missing hiker Wednesday night.

Officials have not determined if the incidents are related.

"All we know is that it appears it is an adult male, no idea as to identity or age or circumstances, and were in the process of recovering the body," HFD Capt. Terry Seelig said.

Currently, HPD has classified this incident as an unattended death.
