RAIL WORK CLOSURES
Overnight, crews started the search for iwi kupuna or ancestral bones along the rail route. The archaeological survey paves the way for digging 232 trenches between Kalihi and Ala Moana. These trenches would be sites for pillars for the elevated train tracks. This work will affect your drive. Lanes on Kamehameha Highway at Middle Street and Dillingham Boulevard between Mokauea and Kalihi Streets will be closed from 8:30 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon.
