Oahu Shark Attack, Kumu Hula Passes, UH QB Suspended

SHARK ATTACKS SURFER

A shark attack on Oahu's north shore has swimmers staying out of the water. Lifeguards put up warning signs along Chun's reef and nearby beaches after a large shark bit a man who was surfing. Lisa Kubota tells us how the surfer managed to get away and updates us on his condition live tonight at 5.

To many who knew O'Brian Eselu, he was a dedicated teacher who was getting his students ready for the upcoming Merrie Monarch hula festival. Jim Mendoza spoke to many in the hula community who are tonight, shocked and saddened by the news of the 56-year-old's passing.

Coach Norm Chow promised he would make an announcement today about the punishment for Cayman Shutter. He's the quarterback who was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Chris Tanaka just got back from the news conference and tells us what the coach decided at 5.
