Rainbows swept by Gonzaga

SPOKANE, Wash. – The weather, and a quality, got the best of the baseball 'Bows.  Royce Bolinger homered twice for Gonzaga, as the Bulldogs (16-6) finished off a four game sweep of Mike Trapasso's club, 9-3.  The loss drops the Rainbows to 14-11 overall.

Trevor Podratz hit his first career home run for the Rainbows, going 2-4 with 3 RBI's, but it wasn't nearly enough to overcome the quality start by Gonzaga's Billy Moon, who scattered 11 hits and 3 earned runs over 6 1/3 innings.

The Rainbows will look to recapture their lost momentum in a four game series against UC Davis this week.  The first game is Thursday night at Les Murakami Stadium.
