No tsunami alert for Hawaii following 7.4 magnitude Mexico quake

MEXICO (HawaiiNewsNow) - A strong 7.4 magnitude earthquake with an epicenter in Guerrero State shook central southern Mexico on Tuesday, swaying buildings in Mexico City and sending frightened workers and residents into the streets.

Officials say a tsunami alert has not been issued for Hawaii.

According to the Associated Press, an aftershock also hit Mexico City following the 7.4 magnitude earthquake.
