KUNIA (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Hawaiian Electric Company spokesperson says power has been restored to 800 customers in the Kunia-Waipahu area.
The outage was reported at about 7 a.m. after downed power lines were reported on Kunia Road near Kupuna Loop.
When HECO crews arrived to the scene, they found a bird on the line that was fried.
HECO officials say the bird may have caused the outage.
Power was restored by 9:30 a.m.
