Queen's names new medical director

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Queen's Medical Center (QMC) has named Scott D.M. Moon, M.D. Medical Director, Radiation Oncology Operations.

"We are pleased to name Dr. Moon to this extremely important position," said Art Ushijima, President of The Queen's Medical Center. "Scott has been affiliated with Queen's for over 8 years and has extensive knowledge of our physicians, staff and patients. He knows our Mission and the values of our founders, Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, and his years of experience will prove invaluable in his new role that will help shape the goals and objectives of Queen's for many years to come."

The Medical Director, Radiation Oncology Operations is responsible for developing and organizing the clinical standards, protocols, clinical services and quality management for the Radiation Oncology Department.

Dr. Moon will oversee a staff of 40.

Dr. Moon received his medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine and is currently the Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine.
