HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Passengers on a Hawaiian Airlines flight arrived in Honolulu around 4 a.m. Monday after an engine on their original flight experienced problems.

Flight 47 was flying from Oakland to Honolulu Sunday morning, but ran into problems with the left engine. The plane was forced to turn around and land at the San Francisco International Airport.

Officials do not know what caused the problem, but are examining the engine.

One person who was on the flight wrote on our Hawaii News Facebook page that it was "pretty scary."

Hawaiian Airlines says 203 passengers were on board.
