Search advisory committee to help select next UH women's basketball head coach

HONOLULU – University of Hawaii at Manoa Athletics Director Jim Donovan announced the search advisory committee that will be used to select the next women's basketball head coach.

The committee will include:

  • Al Chee, Hawai‘i Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs, Chevron Hawaii; Vice Chairman of ‘Ahahui Koa ‘Ânuenue
  • Gay Satsuma, Associate Director of the Center for Japanese Studies, UH-Manoa and member of the UH-Mânoa Athletics Advisory Board (chairs subcommittee for gender equity)
  • Carl Clapp, UH-Mânoa Associate Athletics Director – Administrative Services
  • Marilyn Moniz-Kaho‘ohanohano, UH-Mânoa Associate Athletics Director – Senior Woman Administrator

The search committee will work with Donovan on the search process. The committee can start reviewing applications as early as 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

    A woman with long dark hair and a tattoo on her leg is believed to be one of the suspects who kidnapped and robbed a pair of California visitors last week, according to surveillance video of the incident released by police on Monday.
