HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Weather Service has dropped a flash flood warning for the island of Maui.

The Department of Land and Natural Resources has closed 'Iao Valley State Park and Polipoli Spring State Park today, for public safety, due to heavy rains, and rising water in 'Iao stream.

Continued rain is forecast for most of the day. If the weather subsides by tomorrow, and the 'Iao Stream is back to normal, the Maui Division of State Parks will reopen the parks.

A Flash Flood Watch is still in effect for Maui until 4 a.m. Saturday.
