Flooding near Niu Valley this morning

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Flash flood watch continues through 6 a.m. Wednesday for Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai and Maui.

The threat of heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue over Kauai, Honolulu and Maui counties tonight as a trough in the upper atmosphere over Kauai will keep the atmosphere unstable.

With the ground saturated on Kauai and Oahu any additional rainfall will bring increased runoff that could result in flash flooding.
