Crews repairing road following Kakaako water main break

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Board of Water Supply crews were busying repairing a broken water main in Kakaako.

The incident happened on Auahi Street and Ward Avenue at about 2 p.m.

Some businesses like Wahoo's, Jamba Juice, and Starbucks briefly lost water, but service has since been restored.

BWS crews have finished repairs to the 12-inch water main, but are in the process of repairing the roadway.

The right mauka bound lane of Ward Avenue and the left eastbound lane of Auahi Street will continue to be closed near the Ward Avenue intersection.

Drivers can expect delays in the areas and are advised to use alternate routes.
