Waipahu pedestrian accident victim identified

WAIPAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A road-side memorial has been set up for an elderly woman killed in Waipahu.

Flowers and balloons are set up near the crash scene in memory of Guillerma Bambilla.

Police say Friday morning the 73-year old was crossing the street near Waipahu Elementary when she was hit by a car.

According to investigators, speed or alcohol do not appear to be factors.

We're told Bambilla was possibly headed for the bus stop on the other side of the street.
