KALIHI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Kalihi-Kapalama Satellite City Hall at City Square, 1199 Dillingham Boulevard, was closed today because of noxious odors.
This is the second time the satellite city hall had to be closed because of odors. The offices were closed for two days in February when six workers and a customer reported feeling nauseous.
Authorities say the "transient nuisance odors" are from construction activity in the vicinity of the office.
Department of Customer Services staff is working with the City Square's building management to resolve this problem and anticipate reopening tomorrow (Friday).
Satellite City Hall customers are asked to go to other locations in Honolulu at Ala Moana Center, Fort Street Mall, and Hawaii Kai. There are also satellite offices in Kailua, Kapolei, Pearlridge Center, Wahiawa, Waianae, and Windward City Shopping Center.
